One of the hallmarks of ageing is a loss of facial volume and skin elasticity. This is due to collagen breakdown and less collagen being produced by the skin overall, as well as environmental factors such as UV exposure, dehydration and smoking. This volume loss is particularly apparent around the bony orbital rim of the eyebrows, creating a gaunt, skeleton-like appearance.
Although a brow lift can be treated with an anti-wrinkle injection, unfortunately, this does little to combat volume loss in the face. A brow lift treatment with dermal filler, however, replaces this volume and helps to soften the harsh orbital rim bone. In this treatment, the dermal filler is targeted on the outside of the brow bone. This, in turn, creates a softer and more youthful look to the face, as well as lifting and opening the eye and making it brighter and more awake.
For those who suffer from drooping eyelids, a dermal filler treatment focused on the middle half of the upper brow can help to lift the lids. This helps to reduce any visible sag seen in the eyelids.

HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
During your one on one consultation with your M1 medical practitioner, the doctor will identify which areas of the brow would benefit from adding volume. They will then inject the dermal filler into the treatment area with a very fine needle. As there is an anesthetic agent in the dermal filler, the treatment is minimally painful.
You will see the results of your treatment immediately, with the full effect realised in 2 to 3 days. It is important to follow any aftercare instructions provided by your doctor during this time to minimise any bruising or swelling and to achieve the best results possible.
The results of your treatment will last for up to 4 to 9 months. After this time, we recommend a follow-up treatment with your M1 medical practitioner.
